A Court of Thorns and Roses News

Okay, Sarah J. Maas fans, great news for those who loved Mass's A Court of Thorns and Roses series! On November 5th A Court of Thorns and Roses collector's edition will be released. The collector's edition looks amazing. It's not often that I get excited about a collector's edition but this one is worth it. Definitely a great addition to a library.

Don't forget to mark your calendars for November 5th or pre-order a copy of the book here.

A Court of Thorns and Roses

Feyre's survival rests upon her ability to hunt and kill – the forest where she lives is a cold, bleak place in the long winter months. So when she spots a deer in the forest being pursued by a wolf, she cannot resist fighting it for the flesh. But to do so, she must kill the predator and killing something so precious comes at a price ...

Dragged to a magical kingdom for the murder of a faerie, Feyre discovers that her captor, his face obscured by a jewelled mask, is hiding far more than his piercing green eyes would suggest. Feyre's presence at the court is closely guarded, and as she begins to learn why, her feelings for him turn from hostility to passion and the faerie lands become an even more dangerous place. Feyre must fight to break an ancient curse, or she will lose him forever.

The Girl and the Tiger

Fans of Paule Rosolie have been waiting for the release of The Girl and the Tiger for so long, ever since there was mention of it from Paul Rosolie. Fortunately, this month his second book was finally released! It was released on September 17th, 2019.

I won his first book, Mother of God: An Extraordinary Journey into the Uncharted Tributaries of the Western Amazon, from a GoodReads giveaway. It was one of the best books that I have ever read and I highly recommend reading it if you like biographies and or anything involving the environment. I read the book front to back and never lost interest once. Mother of God went everywhere with me for a while.

Isha is a girl who loves animals, but struggles in the confines of school. When she is sent away to live with her grandparents on the Indian countryside, she discovers a sacred grove where a young Bengal tiger has taken refuge. Isha knows that the ever-shrinking forests of India mean there are few places left for a tiger to hide. When the local villagers also discover the tiger, Isha finds herself embroiled in a life or death cultural controversy.

Isha's crusade to save the tiger becomes the catalyst of an arduous journey of awakening and survival across the changing landscape of modernizing India. Her encounters with tribal people, elephants, and her search for the wild jungle are the source of her revelations about the human relationship to the natural world in a gripping story of determination, discovery, and coming of age.

Dunkin Donuts Logo Donut

Over the past weekend I hopped over to Dunkin Donuts for a quick morning run before starting the day. The line was almost to the door but was moving quickly so I stayed put. While in line I noticed a donut behind the counter that looked like it might be a Halloween themed sprinkle donut. I ordered the donut along with the rest of my order and made my way to the car. Upon opening the bag a realization hit me. That Halloween donut wasn't a Halloween donut. No, it was a chocolate frosting donut with special sprinkles on it. Orange and Pink "D" shaped sprinkles. Was the donut good? Of course, as always!

Is that not cute or what?!? Way to go, Dunkin! ☺

Pillow Talk Is Talking Again

Pillow Talk made it back to the TV screen last night.

The biggest issue I have with Pillow Talk this season is watching Colt and Debbie. Almost makes me want to watch something else... but going to grit throught it and attempt to flip the channel when they're on. Really miss watching Darcey and Stacey but fortunately they are still around on 90 Day Fiance.

Where are Loren and Alexei at? Miss watching them together!

With one episode into the latest season of Pillow Talk so far it felt a little lacking but most likely due to the adjustment in the cast when you're used to seeing certain people. Looking forward to the next episode... hopefully Loren and Alexei will appear!

Knocking On Death's Door

As Sherrilyn Kenyon's fans impatiently knock on Death's Door, At Death's Door is up for release on September 10th, 2019. At Death's Door is the third book in the Deadman's Cross series.

I have yet to read any of the books from the Deadman's Cross series but it is definitely on my ever growing to-be-read list of books. It has been quite some time since reading a book by Sherrilyn Kenyon.

There has been a lot of information being spread online regarding the lawsuit troubles, etc. that Sherrilyn Kenyon has been having. In spite of that most of her fans have continued reading her books, whether they agree with what is going on or not.

Unfamiliar with the lawsuit? Check out one of the articles online by clicking here.

Pillow Talk Is Alive

Fans of TLC's Pillow Talk were very disappointed at the end of the show because the show seemed to disappear and was never mentioned at any point after it ended. It was a complete let down after such a good run. Finally, much later on, TLC has announced that Pillow Talk will be back Sunday, September 15th!

Most of the past cast members will be returning with their commentary, however, TLC did add a few more cast members to the upcoming season of Pillow Talk.

Cast members to look out for...
  • Elizabeth and Andrei (Not too excited about this one.)
  • Colt and Debbie (All I can say is... "Why?")
  • Tarik and Dean (Yes, please!)
  • Loren and Alexei (Definitely excited to see them back.)
  • Kalani and Asuelu
  • David and Annie (Who doesn't love Annie?)

Thankyou, TLC, for bringing Pillow Talk back! Still trying to figure out why Colt and Debbie were added to the cast members list. It almost made me not want to watch Pillow Talk until finding out that some of my favorite cast members will still be there.

Coolatta This Summer

Dunkin Donuts has had frozen drinks that aren't of the coffee variety for a long time now, and for a long time now I have kept saying that I was going to try one. Needless to say that didn't happen yet or else this post wouldn't be happening now. Coolatta... the name immediately makes me think of a cool latte. Weird, right?

The best way that I can describe a coolatta is that it is like a cross between a frozen lemonade and a snow cone but in the form of a drink.

When I ordered a coolatta I asked the cashier her opinion on the flavors. She said Cosmic Strawberry and Cotton Candy are the most popular flavors at their location. That settled it. Cotton Candy it was. With the first sip I was pleasantly surprised. The Cotton Candy flavor actually tasted like Cotton Candy and it wasn't overly sweet tasting. The fact that the ice part of the drink didn't melt immediately on a hot and humid day was a definite bonus! On Dunkin's website they only list a few flavors for the coolatta frozen drinks but be sure to check out your local Dunkin Donuts. At my local Dunkin Donuts they offer a very large variety of flavors, some of them with fun names and colors.

Have you ever had a Coolatta? Thoughts? Drop a comment below!

BH90210 Yes or No

So, BH90210 (Beverly Hills 90210) finally aired tonight. At first it took me a little while to get into it and I felt a little bored because I had to get used to the idea of a reboot within a reboot so to speak. Once I got into the show my focus remained. The preview for the next episode looks really good too!

There was tons of drama and angst, something one would come to expect from both 90210 and BH90210.

Toward the end of the first episode something did stand out... "I'm pregnant." Well, that bomb dropped and jaws dropped along with it. Meanwhile Jason Priestly looked like he wanted to die.

The rememberance of Luke Perry was heart warming. Dedicating the first episode to Luke Perry was an A+ in my book. Dylan/Luke was definitely missed from this show. I have zero doubt that he would have done an amazing job!

Drama? Check. Angst? Check. Favorite cast members? Check. Excitment for the next episode? Check.

What are your thoughts on the first episode BH90210? Who are your favorite characters so far? Still the same as back during OG 90210 days? Drop a comment below!

90210 Reboot Yes Please!

For those of you Beverly Hills 90210 fanatics out there a reboot is finally coming our way! Starting August 7th, the Fox channel will air a six episode reboot of 90210. The amount of episodes isn't a lot but maybe with some luck, if the ratings are high, they will make more. So, be sure to watch it either live or record it with your DVR.

Normally I don't get excited for a reboot because they usually aren't very good. However, I have plenty of faith and excitement in this reboot!

The confirmed returning actors are Gabrielle Carteris (Andrea), Shannen Doherty (Brenda), Jason Priestly (Brandon), Jennie Garth (Kelly), Tori Spelling (Donna), Brian Austin Green (David) and Ian Ziering (Steve).

The one person we will be missing without a doubt from this reboot is Luke Perry. Dylan will forever be missed amongst the hearts of 90210 fans, Riverdale fans and many more.

Grab the popcorn and tune in August 7th! 🎥

Cookies N Creme VS. Kit Kat

First off, Happy 4th of July!

Hope everyone is having a great holiday. Don't forget to be mindful of any pets that might be scared of the noise from fireworks.

So, since one of the previous posts revolved around Dunkin Donuts new candy flavored coffees I'm going to give a little mini review on what I tried.

Being that it's summer I always opt for frozen coffee. I tried Cookies N Creme and Kit Kat, but don't see the heath bar flavor in my future as I'm not a fan of heath candy bars.

So, how was it? Any of the flavors are worth getting in my opinion if you've never tried one before. If you don't like a huge amount of candy flavor then go for Cookies N Creme. While the flavor is there you do have to somewhat look for it. Kit Kat on the other hand does not leave you searching out the flavor. Kit Kat also has Kit Kat bits in the coffee as well as sprinkled on top of the whipped cream. Both flavors are good choices but personally speaking I will most likely opt for the Cookies N Creme flavor again over the Kit Kat flavor, simply because I'm not a fan of chocolate bits in cold coffee as well as ice cream. Keeping all of that in mind I'm on board for trying a hot coffee Kit Kat!

FYI, place a small frozen coffee from Dunkin Donuts in the freezer for 30 minutes - 1 hour and it becomes an amazing summer treat.

Have you tried any of the latest Dunkin Donuts flavored coffees? If so, what were your favorites? Drop us a comment in the box below!

Natural Disaster Meets Horror Movie

Down in the Southern parts of the United States it's Hurricane season. What better time to release a natural disaster Hurricane movie than now? The latest natural disaster movie scheduled to be released on July 12th is Crawl.

Kit Kat Frozen Coffee WHAT!

Love flavored coffee, hot and frozen, but hate the price? Dunkin Donuts is a life saver when it comes to that for me. Where I live there are three options for coffee shops. Starbucks, a local chain, and Dunkin Donuts. Starbucks and the local chain coffee shop are too expensive for me. One day I decided to try Dunkin Donuts because they were half the price of the other places on frozen coffee. Ever since that day I have been hooked! Dunkin Donuts hot flavored coffee is good as well. Another bonus? Every now and then there are coupons for some of the items on their menu.

Pillow Talk

There are without a doubt too many reality shows on TV these days. One of the few reality shows that I do watch is TLC's 90 Day Fiance: Pillow Talk. Pillow Talk is connected to the TV show 90 Day Fiance. In Pillow Talk cast from the past gets comfy and watches the current 90 Day Fiance show giving their own commentary, which also involves plenty of food!

BTMT: Ready Player One

At the beginning of last year Ready Player One was released in movie theaters. While many different people saw the movie, Ready Player One really drew in the gaming community.

Ready Player One is based on the novel Ready Player One by Ernest Cline. If you love futuristic and sci-fi genre movies then you might like Ready Player One, whether it be the book or movie. Though, from what I have heard the movie doesn't follow the book that much.

Ready Player One (Movie)

When the creator of a virtual reality world called the OASIS dies, he releases a video in which he challenges all OASIS users to find his Easter Egg, which will give the finder his fortune.

Ready Player One (Book)
by Ernest Cline

In the year 2045, reality is an ugly place. The only time teenage Wade Watts really feels alive is when he's jacked into the virtual utopia known as the OASIS. Wade's devoted his life to studying the puzzles hidden within this world's digital confines, puzzles that are based on their creator's obsession with the pop culture of decades past and that promise massive power and fortune to whoever can unlock them. When Wade stumbles upon the first clue, he finds himself beset by players willing to kill to take this ultimate prize. The race is on, and if Wade's going to survive, he'll have to win—and confront the real world he's always been so desperate to escape.

Goodbye Flu

Hey Bookworms,

Sorry for being MIA for a bit! I, unfortunately, got hit with the flu bug. Urgent Care is a fortune when you don't have insurance and no matter what you do you have to ride the flu out. So, after a lot of medication, boxes of tissue and endless cough drops later... finally made it out alive! Being able to type this post without wanting to vomit is a dream come true.

Regular routine posts will continue once things settle this week as everything is a bit chaotic.

Happy Reading, Bookworms!

An Irish Read

St. Patrick's Day is only a few days away at most. So, how about an irish read for the irish holiday?

Dark Witch by Nora Roberts is another series of hers that takes place in Ireland, and is definitely worth the read. Nora Roberts was my very first favorite author. All of the series that I've read by her that take place in Ireland were good. Dark Witch is the most recent one for me. Dark Witch is the first book in The Cousins O'Dwyer trilogy. Dark Witch is a fantasy yet paranormal trilogy with the usual romance. The reviews on this book is a hit or miss but it was definitely a hit for me.

Five Feet Apart

Happy Book To Movie Tuesday, Bookworms!

Have any of you heard of the book Five Feet Apart? It's a young adult novel revolving around two teenagers with unfortunate health issues written by Rachael Lippincott. I haven't read the book but have heard of it. When the Five Feet Apart movie started showing previews on TV that lead me to wonder if it was based on the book, which it turns out the movie is in fact based on the book. Have you read the book? Drop us a comment in the box below!

A Duchess For All Seasons

Browsing around for a good e-book freebie I happened along The Winter Duchess by Jillian Eaton, which lead me into purchasing other books in the series. The Winter Duchess is the first book in the A Duchess For All Seasons series by Jillian Eaton. Bonus: The Winter Duchess e-book format is free for prime members and kindle unlimited members on Amazon.com but has a pricetag of 99 cents. The rest of the books in the series do as well.

A Path Down the Green Mile...

Happy Book to Movie Tuesday, Bookworms!

This Tuesday I am introducing you to The Green Mile. I have never read The Green Mile novel, which is written by Stephen King. If you're a King fan then chances are you have read it. What is your take on the book? Drop us a comment in the box below!

Stepping away from the book, I have definitely seen The Green Mile movie (adapted from King's 1996 novel). It is without a doubt an amazing movie. If you haven't seen it I suggest watching it at least once in your life. The movie is a little on the long side, so make sure you have time to watch it first.

February's Last Day...

Today is the last day for the month of February. It seems like February flew by! Life is much too short. Hope everyone's month went well!

To bring the month to an end today's featured book is The End by Sara Lucinda Bell. A stand-alone, dystopian novella. The novella revolves around three main characters trying to survive the end of the world.

Crazy Rich Asians

Happy Book To Movie Tuesday!     📖  🎥

Up this week is Crazy Rich Asians. I'm late catching this movie so it ended up being a Netflix and chill kind of night. Crazy Rich Asians is based on the book Crazy Rich Asians by Kevin Kwan, which is from a book trilogy.

The Ravenels Fifth Book Release

On February 19th, 2019 Lisa Kleypas's most recent book was released. Devil's Daughter, book five of The Ravenels series. As big of a fan of Lisa Kleypas that I am I have yet to read her Ravenels series. She is definitely a historical romance author Goddess, so I have no doubt that this series is equally as good as the other series that I have read by her. What makes me so excited for Devil's Daughter is that the heroine is actually the daughter of Evangeline, the heroine from Devil In Winter. Devil In Winter is the third book in Mrs. Kleypas's Wallflowers series, also the first series that I ever read by Mrs. Kleypas.

To kick off our first Book To Movie Tuesday...

New P.C. Cast Book Release

P.C. Cast and her daughter are well known for her House of Night series. House of Night was a series that you either love or dislike in my opinion. It is a 12 book series but dragged on so much that I never did finish it. I stopped at the 9th book, Destined, in the series. I really wanted to love House of Night but because dragged on so much it just didn't do it for me. Perhaps one day I will read the last book in the series, Redeemed, to at least see how the series finally ended.

Shadowhunters, Finally

A long time ago I attempted to read City of Bones, the first book in the The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare. I couldn't get into the book at all. Recently, while browsing through books on the kindle I found City of Glass, the third book in The Mortal Instruments series, and decided to try it.
