Mini Book Review: A Court of Mist and Fury (Spoilers)

For those of you who haven't read A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas there are spoilers in this blog post about it.

A Court of Mist and Fury is the second book in the A Court of Thorns and Roses series by Sarah J. Maas.

There are so many things that could be said for this book. Keeping it short and sweet, A Court of Misty and Fury is AMAZING! The ending leaves you on the edge of your seat, absolutely craving the rest of the story. It was without a doubt one of the biggest book hangovers that I have ever had. I can't praise A Court of Mist and Fury enough. Sarah J. Maas is a genius.

Is there a love triangle in this series? Yes, but without it we wouldn't have the amazing second book in the series. Without it so many things in the plot wouldn't exist. Just as Feyre was in love with Tamlin and was abused in ways by him that seemed almost acceptable to her Sarah J. Maas made us feel for Feyre, feel that everything was right in A Court of Thorns and Roses. Enter A Court of Mist and Fury and so many things fall into place, so many things are explained, so many things are the opposite of the first book. Forget what you knew in A Court of Thorns and Roses because in A Court of Mist and Fury everything changes, everything is complete.

Feyre grows so much more than ever before in the A Court of Thorns and Roses. Rhysand, oh poor Rhysand. Forget what you thought you knew about him as well because now Rhysand is revealed for who he truly is as is Tamlin. Secrets are revealed. Friendships and bonds are created. Lucien. Dear Lucien. His character is both loved and hated for his ways. However, what will happen in the third and final book now that one of Feyre's sisters is his mate? What will happen if the Spring Court finds out that Feyre is actually a spy from the Night Court and that her and Rhysand are playing the most dangerous game of all now? There is so much more yet to be revealed. The side characters, who are around most of the time, all have yet to have their final story unfolded as well.

Unfortunately, we must wait until May of 2017 for the third book but it is definitely worth the wait!

**Special note to author, Sarah J. Maas: Thankyou a million times for creating such an amazing world with such amazing characters! The other amazing thing is that you've managed to do this with a trilogy, which so few authors do these days. A big congratulations to you! Keep up the amazing work.

A Court of Mist and Fury
Feyre survived Amarantha's clutches to return to the Spring Court—but at a steep cost. Though she now has the powers of the High Fae, her heart remains human, and it can't forget the terrible deeds she performed to save Tamlin's people.

Nor has Feyre forgotten her bargain with Rhysand, High Lord of the feared Night Court. As Feyre navigates its dark web of politics, passion, and dazzling power, a greater evil looms—and she might be key to stopping it. But only if she can harness her harrowing gifts, heal her fractured soul, and decide how she wishes to shape her future—and the future of a world cleaved in two.

With more than a million copies sold of her beloved Throne of Glass series, Sarah J. Maas's masterful storytelling brings this second book in her seductive and action-packed series to new heights.

"Truth is deadly. Truth is freedom. Truth can break and mend and bind."
