Allow me to introduce a wonderful author, who is also a special surprise for Insomnia Book Club. The very talented and well known author S.E. Smith! If you haven't heard of her and enjoy sci-fi, paranormal, and or time travel books with romance then be sure to check her out! She has many series to select and choose from.

Now, pull up a chair with your drink of preference as we enter Mrs. Smith's world.

Insomnia Book Club (I.B.C): Being one of my personal favorite sc-fi romance authors, this is such a thrill getting to interview you for Insomnia Book Club! Thanks for taking the time out to do this.
Smith: Thank you for the invite, Amaya! I truly appreciate being asked to participate. Hi everyone in the Insomnia Book Club!! (Waving)

I.B.C: Merrick's Maiden from your Cosmos' Gateway series is due out in December of this year. You also have a few other books due to come out in 2015. How do you manage your time with writing so many book series?
Smith: It isn't easy. It will be even more challenging as I write more series. The biggest thing I do is write for the love of writing and listening to the characters when they say, 'me next'. I do have to balance my family life with writing though. Since I've started writing full time, I've found it even more difficult to make a schedule. It is a continued work in progress.

I.B.C: Out of all of the book series that you have written which one would you say is your pride and joy?
Smith: It is hard to say one specific book, they each have a special place. Out of all of them, I think Gracie's Touch has a special pride and joy. Her story is different, but it is the strength in her.

I.B.C: Are there any little tid bits that you can give away to us about one of your upcoming books?
Smith: LOL. There are a lot of them coming up in the next couple of weeks. I write more than just SciFi, I also write Time Travel, and Paranormal. Each story is a combination of action, adventure, suspense, humor, fantasy, and love. Spirit Warrior: Spirit Pass Book 2, is the story of Allie Whitewater and Jacob Tucker. Jacob and his brother, Jonathan, have come through Spirit Pass following the men who have kidnapped Jonathan's wife, Indiana.

The first book in the Spirit Pass series introduces readers to Indiana Wild as she unknowingly journey's through Spirit Pass and end up in 1867. There she meets Jonathan Tucker. After being hogtied and married, she discovers that she has found the place that she can call home. When her older brother sends men to bring her back to the future, Jonathan and his brother will do whatever it takes to get her back.

Spirit Warrior follows the story of Jacob and Allie, Indiana's best friend. Find out what happens when Allie returns with Indy, unaware that she is traveling through a gateway to the past where Indians and white men don't live in peace. Allie is half Lakota Indian and half white. Find out when the past meets the present.

Allie stepped out into the cool, clear night. She walked over to her truck, pressing the unlock button on the remote. Pausing with her hand on the door latch, she glanced up at the sky. Brilliant stars glittered with an intensity that took her breath away.

For a moment they blurred as tears of relief and sadness clouded her vision. They were back. Life did move on, no matter how hard she tried to make it stop, it kept going. Chris was right. Life was too short to stop living it.

I.B.C: Do you feel like writing has enabled you to leave your own mark in the world?
Smith: I feel like I am still on the journey to doing that. I have a seven book children's series that I am working on that I am really excited about, as well as, a YA book. I hope that I do leave something that others will want to read to their children or read themselves.

How does it make you feel to know that you are a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author, have won the 2014 RomCon Readers Crown award and are an Amazon international bestselling author?
Smith: Humbling... I recognize this is a dream to many writers, including myself. I know it comes with a lot of hard work and I'm just thankful to the readers for believing in my stories and for their support. I couldn't have done it without them.

Here's an oldie but a goodie... If you were stuck on a desert island what three things would you absolutely have to have with you?
Smith: My hubby who is amazing at building, camping and survival. My purse which was used as a model for Riley St. Claire's purse in Choosing Riley: Sarafin Warriors Book 1. And lots of pencils and paper. LOL.

I.B.C: What one thing would you like to tell all of your readers out there?
Smith: Thank you for believing in me and for your continued support. Without you, I wouldn't be able to share my stories and the worlds. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

love you and your books and will continue to support you

S.E. Smith is an amazing author. She's the first female author that I ever read a sci-fi novel by.
