New P.C. Cast Book Release

P.C. Cast and her daughter are well known for her House of Night series. House of Night was a series that you either love or dislike in my opinion. It is a 12 book series but dragged on so much that I never did finish it. I stopped at the 9th book, Destined, in the series. I really wanted to love House of Night but because dragged on so much it just didn't do it for me. Perhaps one day I will read the last book in the series, Redeemed, to at least see how the series finally ended.

Shadowhunters, Finally

A long time ago I attempted to read City of Bones, the first book in the The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare. I couldn't get into the book at all. Recently, while browsing through books on the kindle I found City of Glass, the third book in The Mortal Instruments series, and decided to try it.

A Curse So Dark and Lonely was finally released today! Brigid Kemmerer introduces us to her new series A Curse So Dark and Lonely, also the title of the first book of the series. This is an ecstatic day for fans of Beauty and the Beast retellings. This book is definitely going on my To Be Read list.

Ashes to Ink - 01/22

For fans of the Montgomery Ink series Ms. Carrie Ann Ryan has written the spin-off series Montgomery Ink: Colorado Springs. On January 22nd Ashes to Ink gets released. Ashes to Ink is a novella after the second book in the series, Restless Ink.

For those of you that haven't read any contemporary ink books try giving Montgomery Ink a try. It is a longer series so you don't have to leave your favorite environment too quickly. Grab your copy of Ashes to Ink by clicking here!

Lisa Kleypas Does It Again

Not a shock, but Lisa Kleypas did it again. She drew me into yet another one of her historical romance books.

Dreaming of You is the second book in The Gamblers of Craven's series by Lisa Kleypas. She did it again with another hit!

Hallmark E-Book Giveaway

Christmas is here a little early for Hallmark Bookworms! On Hallmark's website they are giving away free e-book copies of Christmas In Evergreen by Nancy Naigle. The e-book is also available on but it does cost $5.99, so be sure to get your free copy before time runs out!

If you haven't already seen the movie I suggest looking out for it on Hallmark's TV channel. It is definitely a Christmas Hallmark movie that shouldn't be missed.

Last Yet First Hathaway Book

So, I finally finished The Hathaways series, in reverse as stated in a previous post. Mine Till Midnight was the first book in the series and the last one that I read. It was a lot better than expected and I can definitely see why they have their own scenes throughout the series. Thankyou, Lisa Kleypas, for yet another amazing series!

Losing a Loved One

The holidays seem to be the worst time of the year when it comes to losing a loved one as well as dealing with the pain of losing a loved one. My Father passed away this year, something I will never forget nor get over. In some ways he was my best friend. No one really understands the pain that comes from losing a spouse, child, sibling, etc. until they go through it. Because of that there really aren't many people that you can talk to about the subject who completely understand. Some cities do have group meetings for those who have lost loved ones (provided it's not too far to drive to) and then there are people who are very much solitary and prefer one on one over going to group meetings. There are also people who tend to close up and not wish to speak to anyone about losing their loved one.

Going In Reverse With the Hathaways

So, a while back I felt like reading a historical romance and ended up with Love In the Afternoon by Lisa Kleypas. It is the fifth and final book in The Hathaways series by Lisa Kleypas but the synopsis caught my eye, so I dived into it. I loved it so much that I read the fourth book... then the third book... and now I am almost done with the second book, waiting to dive into the first book of the series. Definitely not the best idea to read any series backwards but no regrets here!
